基地西临官厅湖，北邻京包铁路，东邻段庄村，南至京藏高速。

It is close to Guanting Lake in the west, Beijing-Baotou Railway in the north and Duanzhuang Village in the east and is also not far from Beijing-Tibet Expressway.

规划区位于官厅片区，紧邻官厅湖，生态环境优越，同时规划区也位于中心城区、燕山文化新城、花园生态新城三城之间，串联三城的沙东公路位于地块北侧，交通区位优越。

The planning area, located in Guanting Town, Zhangjiakou and close to Guanting Lake, boast excellece ecological environment. It is also surrounded by town center,  Yanshan New Cultural City and Eco Garden City. This area, next to Shadong Highway in the north which puts these above three areas together, enjoys convenient transportation.

怀来县旅游发展根据区域层级的不同，分为三个层次定位：
